So lately I have been in a blog dip- if you will. Description: producing blog entries, which contain no true substance. Of course, I am a girly girl, I love writing about my new products (more about other peoples’ so I know what to get next), the bachelor/bachelor pad, dates with my wonderful boyfriend, new foods I try, spicy outfits I pick up at my local .com. While these are extremely entertaining blogs, I don’t think I will look back 20 years from now and think, wow, I really did love that NARS blush. I will more than likely look back and think, hmmm, what was I doing the day I received that NARS blush? What was I feeling/thinking/planning. Who was I becoming friends with? What connections was I making? Don’t get me wrong, there will be PLENTY of days where I will just want to talk about the superficial stuff. But, honestly, it has consumed my little bloggy. I want this to be a representation of who I am and the experiences I go through. How can I provide that opportunity if I slack on giving the true details of this wonderful life God has blessed me with? Yesterday was a hard day for me. As it was for every American. Yet it is a day I proud to say that I will never forget. Imagine the courage of those firemen climbing the stairs of that firey building, knowing that they more than likely will never again see their wife smile, hear their child laugh, or sing along to the radio. They were risking their lives so that other people may have the experiences that they will never gain. They were giving a “pass go” card to those people’s lives they saved. To the people fighting to get out of the Twin Towers, it was their grave. To the firefighters, it was their duty. I can’t even begin to imagine the feelings of the people directly involved on the situation that occurred on that day. I sit here feeling in awe of the people that America produces. The genuinely good people that God places on and between these coasts. I am encouraged by the way every one in our nation formed a granite bond and I am thankful to be apart of a Nation that I know will gladly be cocooned in the stripes and stars of the American flag. Days like yesterday make me think about the experiences I receive daily. They give me a chance to reflect on what I am thankful for. I want to remember these days; these are the best days of our lives.

Returning to my favorite front porch
I am home for a week before graduate school starts. I have many emotions about returning back to school, but I figure I had a nice break and its time to get back into it. I am excited to be starting a new chapter in my life and anxious to see where it leads me. However, it is nice to be home for a little bit before the craziness returns. There are so many things that make being home such a joy. For instance, walking in the door and seeing this beauty of a picture of yourself:
wow. loving that neon background, I am thinking it will be a popular choice in my future Christmas cards.
Also, having all my favorites close by is t.r.o.u.b.l.e. it leads me to make irrational purchases like these:
New OPI color that I adore, chi hairspray (amazing smell and hold), and Hemp lotion (first fell in love with this in my tanning bed days, which I am strictly against now...funny how things change), when I saw it in Ulta I almost peed in my pants with excitement.
I spent an hour in Michaels. Nothing quite excites me like cardstock and stencils. My craft wheels were turning. I also get to return to my favorite friends, my mom's homemade sweet tea, and of course the mosquitoes.

This is what I spent my entire Monday doing. Its a little hard to see from the picture, but its a 20x24 wooden sign. Wow, I did not anticipate how much work this would be. I could not find any stencils the size I wanted, so I had to make my own and that threw a loop into the whole plan. But, finally its finished and I am feeling good about the finished product. I plan to hang it up on our new patio!! yay!! so excited about our cute little space. I will post more pictures when we throw a few more things together.

wrap it up
so I must say that I am pretty proud of myself today. I created this beautiful wrapped present for Mallory and Barrett's wedding this weekend! No telling whats inside...(lets just say that I liked their present so much, I got one for myself). I got the inspiration for the present wrapping from Emily over at Jones Design Company. That gal is so talented and I practically steal all her ideas. I am obsessed with her house and I want to one day create a space similar with the same cozy feel. I have been loving this flower ever since she did the tutorial and I have already done it for a few other projects. I see many more of them in my future.
I think present wrapping is so fun and gives you a chance to display your personality. I know there are online deliveries now for wedding gifts, but I feel like that takes the genuineness out of it. I love seeing how people choose to decorate their gifts, especially the ones from my younger cousins at the christmas time. Their use of tape is more for amusement that practicality, I am convinced. I hope Mallory and Barrett love their present and I am MORE than ready to be shakin my groove thang on the dance floor this weekend, bring on the band! I would request my favorite song as of late, but I know no one can sing it exactly like him, so I will just play it repeatedly on our six hour ride home. Have a good weekend everyone!

New Design/domain name
Hello lovies!
As you can see, I have had some major changes here in my blog world. I changed my design, created a new blog name, and got a new domain. I stupidly forgot to transfer my favorite blogs though so I frantically tired to find all of them through the history on my computer. Also, I wasn't sure how to forward my old domain to the new one, so hopefully everyone finds me again. Pass the word along to your bloggy friends for me! I have been thinking about changing my blog name and domain for a while and almost couldn't bare looking at that drab design that I sadly called my blog. So waaa-llaaa, a make over has happened, and I must say I am loving the fresh, new, clean look. Everything about is much more me.
Now, onto other topics,
WHY am I so addicted to reality shows? Does anyone else share in this addiction? I. can't. get. enough. Please, help snap me out if it. (although, secretly, I wouldn't want you to help, thats how addicted I am. sad.) One of my latest favorites is, "Million Dollar Decorators", I haven't decided who is my favorite yet but I am totally crushing on Mary's design style. She can come style my house any day, well any day I have a extra few mill laying around.
Also, there is "Love in the Wild" Does anyone else watch this? Please say yes and that they agree with me that Samantha and Mike are the cutest things. I hope they continue a relationship beyond the show, because we all know that always works.
I am watching my usual, the "Bachelorette" but must say that this is my least favorite season to date. I am not sure if it is because of Ashley or the guys, but I am just not thrilled. Although, I must say, I think JP actually likes Ashley a lot and she should end up with him or Ben, yet to be decided. For some reason I like Ames though, I know..weird. I think he is just so genuine and polite. Even though he did show a sassy side in the elevator a few weeks ago..
This are the things I talk about in daily conversation. Not normal. Thanks for stopping by to read my ramblings!

products that I am loving
WHEWWEEE, I havent blooged in a long time. It is becoming a habit for me, huh? I thought about it, and I must gush and brag about my recent favorite products. I recently was searching for a new nail polish color and I stumbled upon Mrs. O'Learys BBQ, I thought it would be fitting for my future move to Memphis, not to mention the color looked spectacular. Nevermind, that extreme run on sentence that just occurred. Well, today was the first day I tried the nail polish and it is just as wonderful as it looks on the screen!

Product #2 is Neutrogena fresh foaming cleanser. My pores are finally breathing and for a cheap price tag of $4.00! I have always used the face washes with the exfoliating beads and always felt like my makeup was still on after my watch. Then I was watching the Doctors one day and they said something along the lines of washing your face with foaming face wash is much better for it than the exfoliating bead scrubs. After watching, I was on a mission to find a replacement face wash. It is a make up cleanser as well so it is perfect for giving my pores a little present everyday!

Product #3 is crest 3D mouthwash. I am addicted. Not only does it feel fresh, but it actually works. I saw a huge difference within just a few days of using this product. Its an acquired taste, but it has been worth it!

Georgia Peach
What a weekend! Thank goodness for this weekend, it has been one of my favorites of the year. I always love getting to see my favorite people and just driving through Georgia puts a smile on my face. I left for Georgia on Thursday so that I could go with Joyce to pick up her wedding dress. After months of dress drama, her dress finally arrived. Only not to be all the way finished, what fun. Poor gal. Needless to say, we were at the dress place way longer than we bargained for but it was great to see her and she looked stunning in that unfinished dress haha.
Then mom and I went out to eat for a little birthday celebration, since I was not in town for her actual birthday. Do you know they have a new drink called the strawberry pina colada? I know, it truly does sound like it only exists in Heaven. The next day mom and I rushed around looking for some bridesmaids dresses for Joyce. This was an adventure and I think we found just what she was looking for. Its so exciting to see the wedding coming together! Then, it was off to the airport for me to pick up my p.i.c. Kris had to fly since he had a class on friday. Then, we headed straight to Atlanta to see Erin. Sweet friend had been so excited about my arrival she planned out the whole night. Including having drinks and chips and salsa waiting for us upon our arrival. I am so grateful for Erin. She always makes me laugh hysterically with her crazy stories and she is such a hardworking, reliable person. I am proud of my little chemist! We spent the night laughing, singing, dancing, and having the best time. Literally, I woke up the next morning thinking I had done a full body workout the day before. It was fun meeting up with old friends and seeing people that I had not seen in a while. It so interesting to see where people's lives take them.
Saturday morning we loaded are things back into the car and drove to Tyler and Joyce's house for some more wedding planning. She made us some delicious chicken fingers and macaroni. My kind of meal. Then, it was on to Dahlonega to celebrate Hannah and Elliot's wedding. Wow! It is gorgeous up there! Mountains were the backdrop of their wedding which was held at a beautiful farm house that had a barn, bar area, pool, and ruins in the backyard. It was an amazing venue! Just thinking about the evening makes me smile. I saw a TON of people that I had not seen in forever and I absolutely loved catching up with them. The weather was cool for a June night and the dance floor was on fire! Everyone was dancing the night away. I wore the wrong heels for dancing but refused to sit down for more than one song at a time. Even though Kris assured me that it was ok my wheels were flat, I insisted we go back to the dance floor. It was sweet to see how happy Hannah and Elliot were. Perfect weekend.

poor bloggy
So, I feel like I have not blogged in forever! Blogging is a relaxing thing for me to do and to know that I haven't had time to properly blog makes me feel a little crazy. I have been busy apartment shopping, working, and being a little bookworm that I have put my tiny bloggy aside. However, I am back! and boyyy do I have a lot to blog about.
The first exciting thing I want to blog about is my love for Max and Chloe:
I have been saving up for a Max and Chloe monogrammed necklace for a while. Recently I finally had put aside enough extra cash that I was able to purchase it. It has recently become my favorite piece of jewelry. I think it looks so feminine and elegant. Then, Kris and I celebrated dating for a year on saturday and I came home to this Max and Chloe ring. I am not really into wearing big jewelry but I think this piece is so fun and I love it so much! Thanks Kris!
Bookworm:
I also have several books I have been switching reading. I can't decide which one I like best so I read a few pages in each of them at a time. Since I have never been a Maid of Honor before and I will be at my brother and his fiance's wedding, I wanted to be informed of my duties so I picked up this precious little book. Isn't it cute? Informative too! Kris also got me the new "Book of Awesome" I think these books are so great and allow you to stop and think about what things in life we seem to take for granted. Some of my favorite pages are: "picking up things with your feet," "finally peeing after holding it forever," and letting go of the gas pump perfectly so you end on a round number." I think it's is so funny when I read it, I say to myself, "oh, I love that!" or "that is great!" This book definately cheers me up! Then there is "Heaven is for Real" This book is an incredible story about a boy who visits heaven during one of his surgery's and comes back to earth and shares what he saw. It shows how great God's love is and a glimpse of what we might expect from Heaven.
I had a great weekend working and relaxing and I came home to these lovlies on Saturday...
sweet boyfriend.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

June Baby
"A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie." -Tenneva Jordan
Happy birthday Momma. I have never met a better friend, inspiration, or leader quite like you. You have always been there to dust off my knees when I have fallen, wipe my tears when I have cried, and share my laughter when a good joke is told. No matter how far apart we are, we are always together. You may never know just how much I love an appreciate all you do for me. You are the strongest woman I have ever met and I can only hope to be half as strong you as I grow. You have been patient with me when my life winds in all different directions and you have always encouraged me to follow my heart. I know no matter how old I get, I will always have someone's shoulder to cry on and someone to curl up on the sofa in the sunroom to read a book with. You have made me realize the beauty in life. You will forever be my hero. I love you.

Summer lovin'
Ahh finally I feel like summer has arrived! I feel so lucky that I get to be in the beautiful weather all day long. After all the storms and sorrow, I have been needing a day to shock me back to the "summer happy feel." After my mom left and the week continued, I felt a little down and I for sure needed a day like today to bring me back to the cheerful state I love to stay in. There are so many things in life I am grateful for and I don't need to waste one second taking any of my blessings for granted. The smell of the fresh cut grass, friendly smiles, and perfect sunsets are my favorite things about summer. My favorite time of the day is when the sun is setting. I have put my candle and new fresh lilies on the window ledge and they are looking fabulous sitting next to each other. I am adoring these two items, they have definitely help put me back into the joyful summer mood!

Wonderful Weekend
This weekend was absolutely fabulous. My mom came to visit and it was just what I needed. It was so fun to spend some time with each other and create memories. On Friday when she first arrived we went to her favorite place, Newk's to grab some grub. I was starved after work so it was perfect that she was hungry too. Next, we went to the square for a little shopping! The square was looking livelier than ever! For dinner we went to eat at the Mexican restaurant on Jackson and Kris took a break from studying and joined us!
On Saturday, we woke up early to get our craft on! We headed to the square to see it transformed for double decker. There were a lot of art tents and yummy food tents set up. We crafted and collected some goodies and then ate some food and people watched. Kris joined us for lunch, and I think he enjoyed seeing the square transformed too. Saturday night we just grabbed a pizza and watched some tv.
Sunday we did a little shopping in Memphis and I picked up some anthropologie goodies! I always leave there spending way too much money. But I am enjoying my purchases and I have been lighting my new candle every night. I absolutely LOVE the volcano smell. And it is in a vintage looking silver container, which makes it even more perfect. After we ate a little lunch, we went to get my nails done. We searched all over for a salon and finally saw elite nail spa on poplar. Did we hit the jackpot or what? There was a bar in the salon and they were serving drinks while you got your nails done. It was perfect. And I will for sure be returning! Next, was the worst part of the weekend; driving my mom to the airport to return to Atlanta :( It was a wonderful weekend and there were definitely some great memories created!

Do you dare?
So yesterday I picked up a new read! drumroll.....The Daring Book for Girls. Don't mind that it is usually for ages between 12-15, I am completely loving it. I so wish they had a book like this when I was growing up! It has everything you need to know for being a girl in it. Some of the titles in the book are: Rules of Basketball, Boys, friendship bracelets, how to negotiate a salary, Books that will change your life, building a campfire, writing letters, and those are just to name a few. As most of you know, I am a complete child at heart and still sometimes act like one. I have a feeling this book will be in my hands for many many years to come! Below is a picture of me after my purchase, pre-horrific storm.

workout wonders
Holy workout! This gal, Jillian Micheals, has been killing me! Her workout video is intense! I hardly ever sweat from workouts (probably because I am constantly dehydrated), and I was pouring sweat after her workout video! This was day 1 of me doing the workout and I am pooped. I wanted a good workout video but did not want to pay for one like p90x, although I wish I had the extra funds to do so! However, I feel like Jillian's video did the job! She has several videos, so I can't wait to try the others out when I am finished with this one!

Product Shout Out!
I love it so much, I thought I should share with you my new favorite product. It is the seasource renewing body gelee from Arbonne. I got it about a week ago from one of my favorite Arbonne ladies, Emily Denton, and I have almost used the whole can. It is ridiculous how much I use this stuff. I apply it in the morning before I go to work and at night before I go to bed. It really helps hold my extreme golfer's tan (who wants to lose one of those? Right?). The smell is fantastic and not too overwhelming like some lotions are. I encourage everyone to try it out. And if you don't like it, I will gladly take it off your hands :) You can get a hold of one of these goodies by contacting Emily Denton or Brooke Ruff! They are the sweetest girls and will help you out with anything you need to know about this product or other Arbonne products. As for American Idol tonight, I am too devastated to even get into it. I cried tonight when Paul got voted off, and it takes a lot for me to cry. America has gone cray.

jib jab jib jab
hello everyone and happy friday! whoooo, the weather is a scorcher out there and this sista is loving it. I will take four more 80 degree days and a cold blue moon please. Time to jump into my shorts and flip flops for a few months. I can't wait to go to the pool, if only one-pieces were still in style..anyway, when I didn't have a job and got to stay home all day and I feel in love with day time television. And, let me tell you, the rumors are not all true, there are some good shows to be seen. My personal favorite is called THE TALK. It is obviously a talk show, but not just any talk show. These women get steamy! I absolutely love that they are not afraid to talk about ANY issue. It makes for great tv and the whole time you will be sitting there saying, "YES! I DO THAT TOO!" Unfortunately, I don't get to watch it during its regular time anymore (1 p.m.) but I do catch the show online, which is even better because there are no commercials. Check it out, hopefully you will find it as humorous as I do.

eyes glued
Today I have a day off, so you know what that means..the day starts off with The Price is Right. I have always really enjoy this show and the crazy people on it make me laugh so hard. I would go crazy too if i got some of the prizes, but these people are downright hilarious. There was a cute older man on the show today named Charles and he was so grateful to be on the show. His wife was going wild for him in the audience. I really like seeing older couples that are still so in love, I think that is incredible.
Also, American Idol was amazing last night! I have never really watched the seasons, but this season I am hooked! In the beginning of the show I was totally obsessed with Paul. I loved his voice and his smile makes any girl melt. But, lately Casey has started to compete with him for my love obsession. I think the reason that I am starting to like Casey more and more is his personality. Don't get me wrong, he has a phenomenal voice, but it is character shines too. He is so light-hearted and fun. He is so grateful for the opportunity he has and does not want to take anything for granted. The judges saved him a few weeks ago when he got voted off and it made me like the judges even more! Thank goodness for their save because Casey is NOT disappointing. His song last night was incredible. I love him and his little sweet heart! My eyes were GLUED to the television when he was singing.

Baby Beans
Today there was HORRIBLE weather in Oxford. The only thing I enjoy about the rain, is sleeping through it..oh and rain gear that accompanies it. A few months ago, I invested in a pair of llbean bean boots. Oh my lanta, how I love these babies. They are the perfect rainy weather accessory. They keep my feet and jeans dry! They are suppose to keep in tact for at least ten years so I am excited to wear them until the heels fall off!

The perfect combo
My new love is skinny girl margaritas. For me, my summer drink is definitely a margarita. Unfortunately, these lovely ladies do not help me maintain my ideal summer figure. So, brilliant Bethenny Frankel invented the skinny girl margarita. And let me tell you, this little bottle of bliss is my jam. I find it a bit strong and I love margaritas, so if you are not fond of them, you might not like the taste. But if you do loooove you some margs, I invite you to enter the world of the skinny girl, you will not regret it.

Day 29: Where you picture yourself in five years
I love thing question because I really like thinking about what my life could become. I am so excited about the future and everything it holds. I am ready for the happiness it brings and even about the "bumps" I will have to conquer. Some days I will just pause when I walk outside in the morning, take a deep breath, and thank God for allowing me to have a chance at life. I know it sounds cheezy, but there are those days where I really think about how fortunate I am to have the friends, family, and life that I have. In five years, I see myself with a husband and a kid. Of course I want more kids but not within five years from now. Hopefully I will be working in a hospital, clinic, or private practice. I can't wait to see what life brings. And until then, I have my little bloggy to inform you of all the moments between now and then :)

Day 28: A picture of something you wish you could forget
One of the things I wish I could forget is getting my wisdom teeth taken out. First off, I have the tiniest veins you have ever seen and so thats a pain when doctors think they can immediately get a needle into my vein. Therefore, it usually takes several people and several pokes to get a needle in there. So by the time I recover from the poking, I look like i have bee dirt racing from all the bruises. Second, I hate getting put to sleep. I am so afraid that something will go wrong and I will never wake up. This is the conversation that happened between the nurse and I as I was falling asleep. "I think I am dying." "No ma'am, you are not dying, you are doing just fine." "No, but really, I see a white light and that's what you are suppose to see when you are going to heaven and dying." Then, I was out. Not to mention my pain medication did not work and it took me a week to recover. Not fun, not fun at all. But I am glad it is over and I no longer have jumbo teeth crowding my "expensive teeth" as my dad likes to call them. Braces were another thing I didn't really favor. That conversation is for a different day. On a side note, I found a new shopping website that I am literally addicted to. I honestly want every single dress on the website, and yes, I did go through all 68 pages of them. Its called ASOS. So, swing by and pick yourself up a goodie :)

Day 26: your favorite piece of clothing
This is a really hard task because I LOVE clothes. Ironically, I think my most worn items are those that are baggy and look like lounge wear. Recently, I love getting plain shirts and dressing them up with accessories. I cant pinpoint my favorite piece of clothing but I can tell you my favorite brand, which is piko 1988. I wear the three shirts I have from them constantly. They are so comfortable and you can wear them when you are lounging around or out on the town. The picture above is obviously not me but another piko friend..isnt she precious? I just love the look. They are so hard to find so whenever I find something from them, I snag it quickly and I am never disappointed!

Day 25: A picture of something you wish you could change
Something that I really wish I could change is overly thin models/the way women think they are suppose to look. It really grosses me out when the models bones are showing and this is the message that is showed to women all over the world. This is not the way that women should aspire to look and it makes me really sad when girls obsess over looking like this. Don't get me wrong, I definitely think that exercise and healthy eating is a must in life. But this is getting to far. Be proud of who you are and what you look like, you are beautiful.

Day 22: Something you are afraid of
I am terrifying of flying. Every time I get on a plane, I count down the minutes (yes, every minute) until I am off the plane. It is very exhausting and scary. I fear every little turbulence bump and I am constantly looking around at people to see if they are scared too. It all started back on my plane trip home from New Zealand. On the way home, we got stuck in a storm and a jet stream, the worst combination. It was a large plane (a double decker) but it was getting tossed around as if it was a qtip in the wind. I was terrified. Air France had just crashed a week before, so that was in my mind. Plus, it didn't help when a woman started screaming in the back of the plane. Anyway, plane rides have never been the same since. Hopefully I will get over this one day because there are many many places I want to travel, but for now...terrified.

Day 20: something you wish you were better at
I really wish I was better at tennis and played on a team or something. The sport is so fun and I enjoy watching the sport too. One day I hope to join my husband on a neighborhood tennis team haha. When I went to see Andy Roddick play a few weeks ago, it made me want to play even more! Kris and I have been going out on the courts a lot lately, so hopefully I will get better!

Day 19: A picture of your favorite book
Oh, I am so excited about this post! I absolutely love to read and find it so relaxing. I always end up staying in the bathtub with a book way longer than anyone should be allowed. My favorite book of all time is "The Help." I think it is so amazing to hear the stories of those women and it taught me many life lessons. I will never forget reading this book and I will cherish it for a long time. Each page was wonderful and I am so glad I took the time to read it.
Recently, I have been sucked into the Emily Giffin series. I cannot get enough of it! I refuse to put it down. I read the first two books in two weeks. Its safe to say that I am obsessed.
